Today i noticed protruding scales on my platy and i immediately changed it into another tank, However, fish*seems healthy for me and no swollen belly. Is that the sign of dropsy, if yes how can i cure it?
And how to stop spreading the disease to other fish
Remove him to a quarantine tank if possible and medicate. If not possible then medicate your main tank. Your other fish will more than likely be ok with the meds.
Medicate with Seachem Kanaplex for dropsy. Feed sparingly.
Dropsy is sadly a tough disease to fight. But yeah like Fisher said, quarantine and treat. Sometimes aquarium salt helps. Especially with platies since they are brackish so they will be okay with aquarium salt
