HELP! Weird white patch on pleco. Is my pleco okay??

This patch has been on my pleco for a bit now. The patch bleeds sometimes.
Doesnt seem to be going away or healing.
I don't know what it is, but I highly doubt that its ich.
Is it a heater burn?? Something worse?? Please, help!

That is not Ich.

It certainly could be a burn from a heater.. How is your heater situated horizontally or vertically ? You can make a screen to go around it to protect him.

Does it seem it heals at all?

As for your tank, what are your usual tank parameters? Ammonia, Nitrite, and Nitrate? GH general hardness, KH Alkalinity, pH?

What size tank is it and what filtration?

How often do you do pwc's and how much?

What are the other fish in the tank?
