Hello, I havnt been on this website in a few months for various reasons. But anyways im returning and i have a problem. My Pictus Catfish has a rather large stomach. It looks like it may be swolen. Could it be eating to much or is it a disease??? The only thing he could have ate besides his normal food would be tiny snails. (They were taking over my tank, But with help from Loaches and tricks there mostly gone.) Please help, Ill try to post a photo but hes always moving so it may be difficult. Also he seems fine. But i just wanted to be sure. Because ive heard of different diseases where swelling of the bellies is a symptom.

Are you overfeeding? He could be bloated. Freeze dried food will do that to them too...

See if he will eat some cooked and peeled peas. This will help if he's constipated.

They can be thawed frozen peas too. Just nothing processed.
