Hitch hiker fish?!

Hi everyone! I bought a piece of drift wood and it came with some snail on it and this little guy! Can someone help me ID it? Can be with my swordtails and Cory cats? I have it in a little breeder container in my 60 gallon just in case it’s aggressive or plant eater! Thanks!

I see. I'm not sure what it is. Looks kinda like a loach, but that's just a guess

There are alot of ppl online that have gotten home with driftwood and found a yoyo loach or a kuhli loach hitching along. They are good for helping keep your tank clean. I don't think they'll eat shrimp or plants. Dead fish. Def snails. They hide and clean up. Might do some research on it

Yeah, I have a few kuhli loaches, they look like worms. This one is too fat for that. I think your right. I don't see the clear yo you markings on it

It either is a gold zebra loach or a yo-yo loach. They both look really similar to each other especially when young. Either way it will be safe for your swordtails and Corydoras and won’t bother your plants at all
