Hob filter attachment

I cant find these anywhere and I think there just the coolest things ever. Its for hob filters outflow. You know the splashing noise from where the water enters the tank. Its a spongy peice that allows the water to flow through it and into the tank without making a noise. Anybody know what these are called or what I'm talking about??

Maybe there not popular because if you raise your water level the noise stops. But my hood is 3in tall and my hob sits on top of it. So my room often sounds like niagra falls.....

I know what you're talking about. I have never seen them for sale, only heard about people making their own.

Do you know that they make them out of??

I'm not sure. I think some use a sponge like the kind for the Aquaclear 110 maybe.
