HOB versus Canister - Please Help Me Decide

I was leaning toward the Eheim Classic 250 (2213).

I was leaning toward the Eheim Classic 250 (2213).

I like the classics too. Not keen on all the taps though or the priming of.

They are beasts though. I put one of these on my Juwel Rio 180 when I was keeping cichlids. The output was more than adequate and it was virtually silent.

They didn't fit in my cabinet though as they are quite bulky. The included spraybar was a bonus.

Performance 10/10

Practicality compared to others I have used 6/10 but then it is called the classic.

Ehiem is very good too, but I think either of those choices is much better than an aquaclear

Based on my experience I would say so but I have just made a mistake. Mine was the 2217 sorry [emoji15]

I don't disagree canisters are better but I run aquaclear hob's and they work pretty good
