i just made a light for my 30 gallon aqarium to simulate moon light and to be easier on the fish when shutting the light off and it works great
i had an old computer with a cold cathode green light and installed it inside the flouresent fixture next to the flouresent bulb then i took and cut out a slot for the switch and wired it up to a 12 volt dc power supply i had kicking around, it looks awsome with the live plants and the fish seam to like it alot especialy the albinos
also now i can watch my clown loaches in action at night along with the snails,
anyone see any problem with the green lighting?

This sounds pretty interesting, I work part time for a computer place (with their huuuuuuuge fishtank, still empty!!!) and I'm sure there's a few CCF lights lying about (they're not as popular these days for some reason), so I might get a couple and add them to my cube tank once I get it in my house... :D
