Hot water tank rust

So while doing a water change on my daughter's 27g convict tank, I noticed the water being put in was yellow. I panicked an shut the water off. And my dad yelled up to me that I used all the hot water and rust was in his tank. I had no idea he was cleaning his 55g as well. So my question is will the rust hurt my tanks. I also water changed my malawi 90g tank with the rusty water too before I noticed. There are no fish in that one. It's cycling but will the rust hurt my cycle? There is rift lake salt in my 90g for hardness if that makes a difference.

The excess iron may cause an algae bloom, but I don't think it will hurt a cycle.

Thank you for the reply I looked this morning and my tank is clear so it looks like the filter got rid of it. It was much. I think it would be alright.
