How many tiger barbs in 20 uk gallon tank

Are you planning to put anything else in with those tigerbarbs. i myself would go for about 12.

nothing else no, just the tigers......

I think 12 would be a good figure, depending on your filtration 20 might be a bit of a strain. Only you will know, it is your tank and you will be caring for them. You could add a few and if you have no problems add a few more later.

good idea.

i have an UGF with powerhead on one uplift tube and airstone on the other tube.

there's quite a strong current in the tank too....

main reason for getting em, is that the convicts are too messy and not good with an UGF.

Not sure on what colour/type of substrate to get either?
