How much longer do you think?

So I set up a 36g bf planted on Christmas using filter material from my other tank. This morning the levels were:
Ammo 1
Nitrite .5
Nitrate 20-40
pH 8.2
It took roughly 36 hours to get 4ppm Ammo down to 1ppm. So how much longer will it take? This more just a curiosity question than anything else

Shouldnt be long at all ,its hard to put a time frame on it

I think you could start adding fish slowly. Seems like the BB is starting to multiply rapidly now.

Nitrites skyrocketed the day after this and I had 0-0.25ammo and 5+nitrite and nitrite at 160+ so unfortunately I am just not quite there yet.

Hmmm large water changes it is!

I agree do a large water change or two large changes to get nitrite and trates down. Then dose ammonia back up
