How much of a shock can fish take?

Ok i have 2 cons and a salvini in the 20 quarantine and the heater malfunctioned and i stuck my finger in to check the temp and it schocked me. They are still alive and swimmin around. The questions is in the tiltle

I've never heard of a fish being killed from stray voltage, but it's very common to kill any inverts the tank may have.
