How much salt in a Malawi tank?

Do you use aquarium salt in your Malawi Cichlid tank? If so, how much do you use and do you keep the salt level the same all the time.

Do you add salt during the cycling process?

Its unnecessary for cichlids. Its an unending argument but the bottom line is, fish live perfectly healthy lives without it.

Its best used for certain diseases such as ich rather than prophylactically.

There's no reason at all to use salt.

They're fine without it, as is your wallet.
