how much will driftwood bring down the ph

my ph level is 7.0 but i want it around 6.0 -6.5 as i have a couple breeding pairs of discus and i dont want to risk it with the chemivcals as thats a fail for me lol .

any help would be great

Takes considerable amount of driftwood to see any real results when attempting to lower the pH. Are you trying to get a lower pH?
