how plants's resting time affect growing?

may be 8 hours at night make plants grow less hight, but more horizontally.

i used to do 12h straight, most plants go upward.

i switch to 3on 3off 3on 3off 3on, night time 9 hours rest, plants seem grow horizontally,

what do you think?

It depends about the strengh of your light. What's your fixture ?

I have a overlighted tank, and I can't light more than 6hrs/day.

You should light 9hrs straight, or light 4hrs, cut, 5hrs.


Personally, my plants grow faster when I do a blackout -.-
