Hi,
I found many amazing pieces of driftwood on the beach while on holiday and I would like to add them to my fish tank. I believe I would need to prepare it first before adding it, but I would like the tannins to colour the water, to give it a more natural look, so what's the best way to clean it while keeping the tannins? And is it true that darker driftwood contains more tannins than lighter driftwood? What are the different factors affecting driftwood, like shape, size, density, etc? Thanks.
