I got a suprise last night....
In Oct-Nov I knew I had two peacock eels in my tank, although I only would see my biggest one... hardly ever saw the little one. about that time I stopped seeing the little one and started searching for him... never found him, and just figured he must have kicked the bucket. Kept an eye on my water pram... nothing... never saw him again...
Fast forward to last night.....
My big peacock eel eats out of my hand, and while feeding him, (Im watching him and all other fish so I know hes getting enough) I feel something slither into my hand... Its a very skinny very hungry peacock eel.... It frightened me so bad I dropped the cube of tubifex worms which was promptly gobbled up by the tiger barbs...
I quickly got another cube and pushed it in front of my rather emaciated peacock eel... he ate... quite a bit I might add...
then went back down into my sword plant...
I was so shocked... besides being very skinny, he looks pretty good... His tail is a little ragged, but all in all good...
Now I think Im going to try to catch him tonight and put him in one of my ten gallons so I can get him up to par. I was just so amazed, had to share!
