Hi,
I just wondered if any one had any tips or help to get a fish tank through a hurricane. I have a five gallon with a Betta, shrimp and an Otto. Today I did an 80% water change because I'm expecting no power for several days. Storm should hit Saturday night.
Thank you so much

If there is still any available try to get a battery powered air pump, especially if you have a sponge filter. If you have a different type of filter, put the filter media in the tank if you lose power. Not sure what your temp is, but if it gets colder, wrap the tank in a blanket. I'd also keep a bucket or two of pretreated water handy in case things don't get back up running right away, you can still do a few water changes every couple of days or so depending. Good luck and stay safe

I always used a car battery along with a power inverter when I lived in NC
Now I have a generator for back up
