Looks to be a type of rainbow, not gourami

Definitely not a gourami, wrong body shape. I'd guess an Emerald Rainbow or something along those lines.

Rainbow fish are a peaceful and active schooling fish, so no worries on aggression issues.

I agree. It is a rainbowfish. Looks like a species of melatelania or glossolepsis, but those are big genuses.

Yes, it is a rainbow of the genus Glossolepis. It is close to G. wanamensis, but more likely a hybrid between that species and G. multisquamatus.
