ID this Synodontis please!

Recently got this 8 year old Synodontis cat. I don't know the exact species, can you please help?

Hmm. Definitely looks close, but he's pure black, no spots.

I can't find a featherfin when searching that is pure black, and his top fins don't look exact. Could just be because he's old

I've been looking through them..

I'm leaning towards featherfin but it says they have the dots, and mine doesn't. Also it doesn't have that big of a fin compared to the others pictures.

Definitely not S. eupterus, looks more like S. nigrita to me. Are there dark spots on the fins?

Very feint spots it seems. I'm agreeing with the S. nigrita. The above link is identical to him.
