I've been looking around lately, and came across this thread, by Tom Barr. Maybe this would go better in planted?

Behemoth planted tank - Aquaria Central

My favorite pic from the thread

I don't think so.

I kinda wish I could to, but after reading 26 pages of posts, it seems like even the guy who made it (he's paid to do that kind of stuff (Tom)) doesn't like tanks that big (1600 gallons), so maybe I'll reconsider :p

Holy crapo 1600 gallons.... that would be 160 gallon water change at 10%.... double that at least for your weekly maintenance.... how would you even clean that tank with the carpet plants? I have always been curious about that. Cripe I think you'd have to physically get in there to do any maintenance period lol

Maybe with a tank that large and with so many plants it might not need very many water changes, of course that depepnds on how it's stocked.

Here's from that thread

36 Champ 10" largest discus I've ever seen
64 altums, yep 64........
60 Rose lines
60 spotted giant hatchets, never seen these before.
Rare plecos etc
Hundreds of nice apistos
1000 Cardinals
100 N espei

I think the altums died though

you should have seen it before he put those ugly discus. i had a chance to go see it in person but i was already busy that day.
