In my 20 gallon tank is an air store required?

I have one in there now and I just recently got a fluval c3 HOB filter, which can create a lot of movement (rated for up to 55). Wondering if the air stone is necessary.

Stocked with:
1 pearl gourami
1 opline gourami
8 neon tetras
1 Molly
1 clown pleco
1 african dwarf frog (breathes air anyway so kind of irreverent)


No live plant, plan on adding some in the near future.

It's not necessary, I personally don't think you'll gain anything since you seem to have a good filter and water movement for the twenty gallon.
