Info on Balloon Mollies

I just started this fish hobby a few months ago. I started with guppies because they are beautiful fish and somewhat sustainable.

I also like the balloon mollies. I just got a 20 gallon and added two. Could someone tell me a bit about them? Do they breed quickly? I have male/female. They seem pretty peaceful. Do they die quickly? What is their gestation period?
