Introduction Order of fish?

Now that my tank is cycled, i was going to get 3 of my eventual 6 cherry barbs for my first fish. But when i went to the LFS today to get some plants, i noticed they had some female Dwarf gouramis, i have been trying to find a female, and they never have them. Should i jump on the oppourtunity and get the gouramis first and then get the cherry barbs in a couple week?

I think that will be fine. Are you sure it is a female.

Pretty sure, because i have neer seen such a grey male! Are there other was to sex the other than color?

If it's truely female, you can do that first. If not, then you could do all 6 cherry barbs, as they are small and don't add much of a bioload. I added all 9 of mine and had no problems in my 26G.

Hmmm its a hard decision to make, tomorrow ill ask them if they often get the females. If they dont, i will get the gourami, but if I can get them any time, i will definately get the cherry barbs, there fun to watch, even it the LFS tanks where they are way to over crowded.
