Is My ADF supposed to sit around all day?

Brought home an adf for my 10-gallon 6 or 7 hours ago, about 1" in length. He swam a bit, and stayed behind the filter, two hours later he was still there, so I moved it, and he swam down.

Hour later, he was in the barrel, and he's never came out, but he moves around occasionally.

My question: Aren't they supposed to be active, or is this normal?

If someone picked u up in a bag and then drop u into a new environment. U would be freaking. Just give them sometime. Are your water parameters adequate for the fish? Is the tank cycled? Just curious? A major environment change can really stress a fish. Hope this helps.

Yeah, seems to be stress, he's been peeking out, and now he's moving out and about.

Whenever something isn't absolutely regular, I worry to death about my fish. xD
