Is Seachem Prime THAT Good?

Pond is the same as normal prime

If you can't measure one ml use a one ml syringe

I've never used Pond Prime, but I switched to Safe (powder version of prime) about 2 years ago and never looked back.
Picked up some cheap measuring spoons, this works close enough. Usually change 60-70% but treat for whole tank:
1/4 tsp for 55 gallon
Half to 2/3 of 1/8 tsp for 20 gallon
Half to 2/3 of 1/16 tsp for 10 gallon

I usually mix this in a measuring cup with water and baking soda & Epsom salt for my cichlids. Typically I'll mix a 20 gallon dose and split between my 2 10 gallon tanks.


If all I had was one or two 10 gallon tanks, I'd stick with normal Prime. Every product has a target audience. If you don't feel that you can follow the directions for one, use another. Use what works for you.
