Have my 40g H tank and I wanna know if I'm overstocked if I do this combination of fish and inverts. I've consolidated two of my tanks into one bc I was thinking about redoing one but I was wanting to check to see if I am overstocked in the 40g before I make it a permanent thing. So here's the official stock list.
Firstly I'm running a filter I made myself. It's an overflow tube down into a trickle tower and that gives me about 5-6 times filtration on the tank water for reference. Also I am moderately to almost heavily planted in the tank. Factors to bear in mind.
Stock:
12 neon tetras
5 gold barbs
5 Cory cats (2 peppered, 3 emerald)
4 harlequin rasboras
1 betta
6 ghost shrimp
2 tiger blood nerita snails
Wat do ya think? I may add a hob filter for added filtration idk. Depends on what u guys think. All fish are schooling fish excepts betta so I thought that would be a helpful factor as well.
