Is this Possible

Hiya all,

On awaking this morning and switching on aquarium light & feeding, I noticed that one of my guppies seemed to have an extra fin on his top !!
Now this could just be me, but I could of sworn it had grown, overnight.
Is this at all possible, as it the fish definitely looks different and I'm sure that's what it is ! 8)

Sounds like he may have a parasite. I don't know what they are called, but there are some that embed their heads in the fish and leave their bodies trailing out. Examine him closely and let us know what you find.

Will do, thanks, although it def. looks like a fin.

Right, I've taken a much closer look and it is actually the fish's fin !!
I think the reason I may of thought it was something else is because it was sitting very upright, plus the fact I'd been awake probably all of a minute !!

I'll def. take a closer look later, just to make sure and reprt back for definite.

Will also post some updated pics very soon.

I've got an orange guppy. As he's grown his fins have become more elaborate - his top fin surprised me when it became noticable for the first time.
