10G tank
2 Guppies
2 Molly's
3 Neon Tetras (now two)
3 Ghost shrimp

We fed fish our normal yesterday and everything seemed fine and all fish accounted for. 30 hours later we had one less Tetra and a carcass (See attached for picture). Is it possible to go from normal to just bones in 30 hours?

Are the ghost shrimp that efficient?

Very possible. I've had whole gold fish (6") disappear upon death in my pond...Countless tetras have also fallen prey to my snails and other fish.

I'm aware that fish eat other fish but I was more wondering if these little fish could eat another fish to the bones that fast?

Nice. Thanks.

Ammonia: 0ppm
Nitrite: 0ppm
Nitrate: 10ppm

I'm actually surprised that there was no ammonia. The Ghost Shrimp did their job.

I've watched the snails in my tank reduce a 2" guppy body to a skeleton in less than 8 hours.
