Hi I’m new to this . But I have had a fish tank for a couple months now. I noticed this morning there is a pinkish jelly like thing floating in the tank and two on some of the fake plants. I don’t know what it is can anyone help

Its probably mould. Lots of sources of mould in a tank. Uneaten food is a common cause.

Can you give more details about the tank? Whats in there etc? A photo would be handy.

I have a guppy, albino sucker fish and two parrot somethings I don’t Remember what the pet store said they were then it’s just the rocks and a few fake plants treasure chest that blows bubbles and a sponge bob house . I don’t know how to put a picture on here

Pictures

I have some pictures of the stuff in the tank. Sorry my tablet isn't very good quality

They dont look like anything ive ever seen growing in a freshwater tank before. Maybe some kind of foreign body thats gotten in the tank. You mention grandchildren in your intro post, might they have dropped something in there?

Remove them if you havent already done so. Maybe rinse the decorations off with warm water and do a gravel vac. Make sure not to overfeed. See if they return.
