So I was just looking around at my tank and saw a tiny little gray snail on my glass. I'm assuming it probably came on a live plant and I never saw it. I tried to get the best pictures I could. Should I get rid of it or is it a harmless snail? ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1397867196.724904.jpgImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1397867207.977310.jpg

Looks like a pond snail to me. Not necessarily harmful per se, but will multiply incredibly quickly if given the opportunity. Make sure not to overfeed your fish and the population shouldn't explode too much. I personally would take it out. Odds are if you've seen one, you probably have more in there.

google pond snail if you want to make sure of it. and +1 to everything the captain said.

If your tank ever does become overpopulated with snails or if you want to prevent it just get some loaches that naturally eat baby snails.
