Just got some Purigen....frustation!

I have a Emporer 280 power filter. I replaced the carbon filled Rite Sized cartridge with some Purigen. I bought The BAg by Seachem to store it in. but the bag is too small for the filter, most of the water seems like it will not go through the media, but around the bag. this is frustrating. any one have any suggestions?? if i buy a bigger bag and fill it up with more Purigen then my filter will over flow back into the tank.

i would put the bag in then surround it or sandwich it in filter floss. sandwiching it would probably be better since the particles would collect on the floss instead of the bag. btw i would advise you not to use purigen if you have live plants since it may take out some nutrients that the plants need (the key word being "MAY").
