I have a 20 gallon long planted tank. It's currently stocked with 1 dwarf gourami, 6 platys, 4 bronze corys, and what I just found out to be 1 emerald catfish .

The emerald has been hiding the whole time and has been extremely panicked when he is out. I added more things to hide thinking that might have been the issue but he's still been hiding. Finally I did some research and realized that with him being darker than the rest he's definitely a different species.

I guess my question is whether I should return him or add a few of his kind? I feel like I'm pretty fully stocked so returning is probably my best option but just thought I'd get some outside input.

He should be OK as long as there are other cories. Is there any way u could at least add 1 more emerald? Eventually he will adapt but he would do best with a friend
