I have a 20 gallon long planted tank. It's currently stocked with 1 dwarf gourami, 6 platys, 4 bronze corys, and what I just found out to be 1 emerald catfish

The emerald has been hiding the whole time and has been extremely panicked when he is out. I added more things to hide thinking that might have been the issue but he's still been hiding. Finally I did some research and realized that with him being darker than the rest he's definitely a different species.
I guess my question is whether I should return him or add a few of his kind? I feel like I'm pretty fully stocked so returning is probably my best option but just thought I'd get some outside input.
