I have a 36g community tank with a few female bettas and platies. I'm trying to figure out if there is a diet plan I can work out to keep my platies well-fed without bloating the bettas. As of right now, I'm alternating between bloodworms since it seems to only minimally bloat the bettas, peas, and flakes. My bettas are still getting bloated often though and eating as much as they can anytime food is out into the tank.

I was thinking about feeding the flakes in smaller batches at a time in hopes that the platies will be able to eat most of it before the betta gorge themselves on the leftovers. I'm also thinking of adding daphnia to my rotation since it should act as a mild laxative.

Has anyone else had any experience with this? And is it bad to feed peas and daphnia often? I don't want to cause any health issues by issuing laxatives too often.

Any advice would be appreciated :fish2:
