Kissing gourami or Pink gourami

Are a pink gourami the same as a kissing gourami? Or are they the same fish? Would you need 2 fish if it is a kissing gourami or would a kissing gourami be just as well off with any other gourami?

They are they same fish AFAIK. You do not "need" more than one. In fact, when they"kiss" it is generally considered an act of aggression. These fish are aggressive toward any smaller fish but especially their own kind. They can be relentless bullies. They do best in larger tanks.
