Large Rock?

First post...first tank .
So i went to my local petsmart today and found this rock: Large Coral Rock by Top Fin

Fish | Fish Décor | Large Coral Rock by Top Fin® | Petsmart.com

...and i was wondering if it's safe for my future fish (tank still cycling!)?

or should i go for this other rock? Aquael resin rocks

Welcome to AA! Depending on what stocking of fish you want to have, either rock is good. What size tank do you have? The second rock would provide better hiding spots than the first. The first would be good for schooling fish to chase and play in.

oops forgot to mention my tank size it's a 45g (36x12x20) thanks for the reply! and glad to be here!

I prefer the second rock for it's more natural appearance, and a grouping could look really nice. Either would work fine and could be added at any time.

If you're going to have a school of little fish I think the first one would be really cool to watch them swim back and forth through since the schools of fast moving little fish are in motion so much of the time. What kinds of fish are you thinking?
