Learned something new today! Platies/Swordtails & Guppies/Mollies can breed together

Platies and Swordtails can cross-breed
Guppies and Mollies can cross-breed
I didn't know this. LOL. :facepalm::facepalm:

I've always wondered why they looked the same in the Local Fish Store...
I guess this explains it. :banghead: hehehehe

this is very cool. Now i'm interested in keeping livebearers!

add endlers to the guppy/molly list. I've heard of guppy/molly interbreeding but the actual documentation on it is pretty limited. I have seen a few pictures but it's not something that happens commonly by any means. Endlers and guppies interbreed easily.

whilst we are on the subject of breeding...

Blue Gourami and Gold Gourami can breed together too!
A cross will create opaline gouramis.
And if you cross two opaline gouramis, you have a 1 in 10 chance of getting a rare platinum gourami!
