Hi everyone, I'm compiling a spreadsheet with information on types of freshwater rock/ stone decor. I'd like to make it as complete as possible, so I'm asking for a little help ;) I will be posting it when finished. Here is a list of the rock types I have so far, if I'm missing any, or you have used something else not listed, let me know! :fish2:

Hi,
I've used solid basalt but I think this is covered under "blue stone"? I was also given basically a calcite sandstone or limestone for adding to the tank for cichlids but went with a different tank setup. Still sitting in a bucket in the garage.
 
This is as interesting as a box of rocks.... lol sorry couldn't help myself.
 
Lol, off to a rocky start! There goes the thread idea of what aquarium rocks do people have or like to have. Perhaps rocks that wouldn't go in eg soft mudstone, siltstone or anything with sulphides could be handy information as well.
