Loaches stressing rainbowfish

I have a group of 8 Praecox and 6 hovering zebra loaches (Laos Pygmy Multi banded loach). The Praecox have been in an already established 55 gallon planted tank. The loaches are a new edition.

I'm afraid the loaches and me to a lesser degree have stressed the rainbows. They are racing around the tank and resting at the top. All the water parameters are on point.

I guess I am posting because I am frustrated. Everything I have read led me to believe these small loaches were gentle. I have since turned the light out early. May do a small water change tomorrow. Anyone ever kept these before? Any advice?

I had yoyo loaches in a tank. Big mistake. I finally took him to the pet shop and said here free. I have horse face loaches in a tank. Well behaved fish

Yes, mainly had yoyo loaches here and certainly inquisitive on everything (but never saw any harm done).
