I had a blue gourami for 9 years and it lived most of those years with a damaged eye and a dent in its head!
My son had a carnival gold fish (that he named Robert) for 3 years!

We have a silver dollar whose eye went missing. Going on 6 years ^_^. Not sure what happened to his eye.. He was blind anyway in it but his defective eye just went missing one day now it's just an empty socket.
