I just moved again and I'm in the process of resealing my 55, I sold off my other tanks to concentrate on 1 tank. So my question is this; the tank is going to be in the living room, while its not in the middle of the room it is in an area that gets a fair amount of traffic. Currently the filtration will be a magnum 350 and a emperor 400. My tap water is very hard, so taking that into account I'm trying to think of a tank that would be busy. I was thinking of gettign some fancy guppys, some sailfin mollys and some platys, simple and self stocking. But I'm open to anything, I was also thinking a school of zebra danios to keep the tank active, but I'm not sure, as you can tell I'm into simple hardy fish. Any suggestions?

You sound like you have it all under control. Are you going to have any plants? I am not really sure which plants do well in hard water. How hard is your water anyway?

Central American cichlids can do hard water..... just a thought.
