Loss of color in cichlids

I have 2 blood parrot cichlids. Their color has Gone from vibrant dark red to almost white very pale orange from last night to tonight. I always leave the light on but did not today...

Leaving the light on all the time is not good. About 6 hours is enough. The fish can't sleep when the lights are on. Its like you trying to sleep with your eyes open. They don't have eye lids!! Give it a try, leaving the lights off for a few days and then 3 hours in the am and three in the pm. Hope that helps.
