I want to ask whether this is normal behavior? I haven’t seen the male danio fish stop chasing the female ever since I had purchased them from the store. I walk away and walk back and he is still chasing. It seems a little... tiring.

How many fish do you have in the aquarium? Just the 2 danios?
Danios are social fish, so just putting 2 in a tank they will not show normal behavior. Aggression is typical of schooling fish when they arent kept in sufficient numbers.
