I currently have a 150 gal. sw tank. I really want to switch to fresh. I was thinking about a few oscars. my question is, i have about 8 fish currently, and I don't think my lfs will take them all back... theres well over $300 worth of fish. Nobody I know has a sw tank. any suggestions?

one more thing, I would still like to use the lights i run currently:

2x 48" Coralife Aqualight (520W Total)

Is that not good for fresh water? I think it would look cool, but I didn't know if that amount of light would harm fresh water fish.

Thank you very much,

Bobby

That amount of light won't harm most fish, but you will be looking at serious algae issues unless it is a planted tank with CO2.

why switch from SW to freshwater??? Most people go the other route.. lol.

look into finding out if you have a local aquarium society. You can sell your fish there. If not ask your lfs if they will take them back or if they might let you put up an ad. O you can also try craigslist HTH
