Bristlenose pleco about 5 months old. Can anybody tell if male or female yet?

i thought only males had bristles, and it looks like yours is developing them...now i look up the info and apparently females can have one row, which yours has. so i am gonna shut up now and wait to hear some others chime in. :facepalm:

A female will develop small bristles in the area yours is, males obviously get them all over.

Probably male. Females usually develop the bristles later if at all.

So definitely female. I have a fully grown female and she hasnt got any bristles like that. Thats why i wasnt sure
