I would'nt suggest using any green wood in your fish tank. Don't know if it will poison the fish though. All driftwood for aquariums is dead wood. If you live by a creek or river you should be able to find some.

Okay thanks, how long do i have to soak them for the wood sinks?

Some people will soak them in a big enough tub for weeks or even months. Changing water every once in a while.

Boiling the DW will also help. It also helps with removing tannins. Change water when it gets dark brownish.

"green" branches have different chemicals in the branches. You want dried out wood.
