Media basket for fresh water

Hi everyone,

I just joined this forum.
I have had a Biocube 29 with FW for almost a year and I have 3 healthy beautiful Discus. I get some algae problems like everyone else every now and then. I have not replaced the bioballs but I feel like they give me extra work and I am ready for a little upgrade. I am thinking about getting the InTank Media basket filter with a fuge basket. Any thoughts?
Do I need also the fuge basket? Or just the Media basket?

Thank you.

-Hector

FWIW, I've heard the BioBalls are nitrate factories. You can use SeaChem Matrix and Purigen if you want good filtration, along with some filter floss.
