Mess: Cichlid Vs. Gold Fish.

Which are more messy ? Chiclids or Gold fish ? Why ?

They are both quite messy, as they eat a lot and p**p a lot. I think, but am not certain, that it is related to how relatively little of the food they eat is actually processed in their digestive tracts.

IMHO, plecs produce more physical waste (poo), goldfish produce more chemical waste (ammonia). Not that theres a huge diff tho. And thats my totally unscientific opinion LOL

Thanks for the excellent article. This is very ahrd to believe though. One or two small pellets can't be sufficient for a Gold fish per meal. The pellet container says to feed all that they can eat in two to three minutes.
