How long after stopping praprizo do i have to wait to treat with metranizole medicated food? It says wait 3 days before a new treatment on the praprizo, and ive heard not to use metranizole with anything else, so just wait the 3 days? Ive changed the water and added carbon.... kinda want to feed them that Asap. Ive already been to the LFS and the guy is very knowlegable and we decided that its someting internal, be it parasites or bacteria. Anyone know alot about metranizole? Google is turning up mostly stuff about human use

Prazi's effectiveness is only about 3-4 days and it must be used in conjunction with very large water changes (high organics impact it's effectiveness). Prazi and metro can be safely combined in appropriate doses along with specific wc schedules for most (but not all) fish. API's General Cure is an example of a product that uses the combination of metro and prazi although the suggested treatment regimen is not very effective.
