Mirrored Background

I'm thinking about putting mylar paper on the back of my tanks to give them a mirrored effect. I figure it will add depth, and give the illusion of 2X the fish. Do you think that would upset the fish? I have Tetras and Danios, no bettas.

I'll fill out my profile now so you guys have more background.

I haven't had a mirror back tank since the late 80's or early 90's but it never seemed to bother the fish. It can make a tank look odd depending on how you scape it.

LOL, I think I had a mirrored background win I was a kid back in the 80s. Maybe that's why it sounded "cool" to me

I'm thinking about getting more into plants. The mylar would increase light. The mylar is actually left over from the area I set up to start my garden seedlings.

I had a mirrored background for awhile. It didn't seem to upset the fish. It did, however, cause them all to swim only along the back of the tank, because the mirror made their schools appear larger!
