well my drip system is finished, i now have a constant stream of new water and end up with a 100% water change every 7 days.
i always look at the overflow to make sure everything is working properly.
I wanted redundancy in case of a failure. because i have a drip system, i can easially do this by providing multiple overflow tubes, instead of the original single U. now i have a piece of mind that if one tube fails for whatever reason, the second tube will take the load until i notice the failure. and because it's a drip system, the load is small, only 40GPD. it may not look like much but it works as i test failures from one tube and the second one takes the full load.
